We are delighted to share with you our latest design project. Produced and written by Mayer Rus for Architectural Digest and photographed by Douglas Friedman, this enchanted coastal Hacienda for actor Rainn Wilson and his wife, writer Holiday Reinhorn, involved a surgical remodel allowing it to live modern and still feel like a page torn from a bygone era. For us, it was an aesthetic adventure combining the homeowners’ culturally rich and idiosyncratic art with collected and bespoke furnishings from around the globe. The result unites centuries and styles to create what AD’s editor-at-large Mayer Rus describes as Luxe Bohemiana. Press the hyperlink below for the full tour, and don't miss the Open Door video at the bottom of the page. It’s one part Opium Den and one part Green Acres - and we couldn’t love it more!
Inside Rainn Wilson’s Idyllic Spanish-Style Hacienda
The actor and his writer spouse, Holiday Reinhorn, have crafted their own magical Green Acres story along the coast near L.A.

Wilson and Reinhorn strike an American Gothic pose by the barn. Amy, one of the couple’s two pigs, remains ever vigilant for snacks.
Actor Rainn Wilson and his wife, writer Holiday Reinhorn, were immediately enchanted by this Alfred “Hap” Gilman–designed Spanish-style hacienda with distant views of the Pacific Ocean. After buying the property, they turned to decorator Tammy Randall Wood to help them realize their vision. The house’s entry arcade features antique wood gates and beams from Guadalajara.
The original 1970s kitchen was completely renovated to conform to contemporary standards.
Until next time, here’s to creating your own Noble Spaces.
